Common questions

Does my data leave my Mac? No. Sift reads ~/.claude read-only and makes no network calls unless you explicitly enable the optional LLM spec-check with your own API key.

My cost numbers look off. Sift prices tokens from data/pricing.json. If you see a model marked "no price", add it there (or via the user override in the app's data folder). Figures are estimates from published pricing, not your actual invoice.

A session is missing. Click Rescan. Sift indexes incrementally by file modification time.
